Joann Hyer, age 78, of Decatur passed away at her residence September 24, 2013 . She was of the Baptist faith and retired from General Motors after thirty two years. She enjoyed fishing and gardening and spending time in the casino.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Voretta Stevens , husband; William Denzil Hyer, brother C.L. Stevens and Don Stevens.
Survivors include three daughters; Jackie Nosich of Knoxville, TN, Belinda Hyer of Akron, OH, Kim Martin (MarkII) of Decatur, TN.. two sons; Ricky Hill of Lafollette, TN, Jack Hill of Texas, nine grandchildren, including; Heather Duncan of North Olmsted, OH, Billiee Jo Miklos and Frankie Miklos, both of Decatur, TN; two sisters, Wilma Nichols, Shirley Greene; two brothers, Ralph and Michael Stevens. Several nieces and nephews also surive.
