Louise Guinn, 85, of Cleveland, passed away September 24, 2013 in a local healthcare facility. She worked for over twenty years for the Cleveland City School system. She was happiest when she was serving and helping others, whether it was cooking for the school children or her family, or volunteering at the Caring Place. She and her husband traveled and lived all over the United States in their younger years. She enjoyed sharing stories of their time and travels together. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and proud mother to her two sons as well as a wonderful daughter, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. She lived a long and happy life and leaves behind an enduring legacy of love for her family. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband; Delmer Guinn, her parents; Elbert and Inez Hamilton, two brothers, Casper and Bobby Hamilton and sister Bonnie Hamilton.
Survivors include her sons; Jeff (Pam) Guinn, Mitchell (Anne)Guinn, five grandchildren; Emily Deaton, Andrew Guinn, Chelsea Guinn, Heath Chamberlin and Chase Guinn, two great grand-children; Baker and Jackson; two sisters; Faye Wooden, (Arnold) of Cumming GA., and Carolyn Hamilton of Alpharetta Ga. as well as many nieces and nephews; all of which were very special to her.
Service:
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 11:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Caring Place of Cleveland, St. Judes or the American Cancer Society.
