Linda Lee Powell Payne, age 71, a resident of Chickamauga and formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday evening, August 8, 2013 at a Fort Oglethorpe, GA hospital. She was of the Christian faith. Ms. Payne loved spending time with her grandchildren, sketching, and painting. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Erlanger Medical Center.
She was the daughter to the late Allen Powell and Mary Ellen Lee Powell. Her two sisters, Eleanor Merciers and Sue Hill also precede her in death.
Survivors include her three daughters: Yvonne Carter and husband Sam of East Ridge, TN, Janice Stone of Chattanooga, TN, and Donna Hill and husband Terry of Chickamauga, GA; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Service:
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
