Evelyn Louise DeFriese Reed, age 92, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May16th. She was born to the late James T. and Cindy Jane DeFriese in Birchwood, TN. She was retired from Lovemans Department Store and Senior Neighbors of Chattanooga. She was a member of East Brainerd Church of Christ.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Reed; sisters, Birdie May Lane, Anna Rilla Balch and Dorothy DeFriese; and brothers, Ralph and Taylor DeFriese.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon Reed King and son-in-law, Marvin Edwin King; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be 2pm Friday, May 17th at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN with minister John Cupp presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
