David Phillip Hairrell, a resident of Cleveland, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. David attended ETSU on a basketball scholarship, and graduated in 1964. He was later employed with Magic Chef, Hardwick Stove, Maytag, AGC Company, and founded Hairrell Industrial Sales Company in 1990.
He was born in Athens, TN on April 25, 1942 to Gertrude Z. Karaivanoff and William D. Hairrell. He is survived by his wife, Alice Steele Hairrell of Gatlinburg, and children; Angie and husband Stan, Chris and wife Jennifer, Doug, Mike and wife Kelley, and nine grandchildren; Madison, Caitlin, Claire, William, Caroline, Eva, Catherine, Will, and Charlie. David is also survived by one brother, Bill and wife Bonnie and two nieces; English and Nicki of Birmingham, AL.
Service:
David was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, where a memorial service will be held on Monday February 11, 2013, 6P.M. with Reverend Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30P.M. to 6:00P.M. prior to the service at the church.
