David A. Magoon, 94, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014. A World War II veteran, he moved to Collegedale in 1965 where he was a member of the Collegedale Seventh- day Adventist Church and served as mayor and commissioner.

A private family service will be held in Norcross, Georgia where he will be buried next to his wife of 54 years, Sue Summerour Magoon. Tax deductible memorial donations may be made to Veterans Memorial Park of Collegedale Flag Fund, P.O. Box 2211, Collegedale, TN 37315.
