Jerry L. Crandell, 69, of Apison, TN passed away January 12, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Air Force serving from 1963-1967. He enjoyed numerous outdoor activities; such as camping, whitewater paddling and mountain biking where lifelong friendships were formed.
He was preceded in death by parents; Forrest and Irene Crandell, sisters; Marjory Read and Peggy Chapman.
Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Barbara; daughters, Michelle (George) Bercaw, Monica Crandell Stone, nine grandchildren, and nine great grand-children who lovingly called him Poppy.
Service:
Graveside services will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2:30 P.M.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Crandell residence, Sunday, February 9, 2014 during the hours of 1:00 " 4:00 p.m.
At Jerrys request, in lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Signal Centers of Cleveland, 690 Old Chattanooga Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311.
