Richard Hansen

Richard Hansen, age 57, of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday morning, January 4, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. The son of the late William and Genevieve Decker Hansen, he was born in Minnesota and has lived in Ooltewah for the past 25 years. He was a construction contractor for many years and a member of the Rome Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rome, GA. He had a love for others and helped anyone in need. He enjoyed hiking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Hansen and William Hansen, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Julie Radke Hansen; brother, Danny Hansen and wife Audrey of Wadena, MN, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Service:

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rome Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2526 Cedartown Hwy., Rome, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of the Rome Seventh Day Adventist Church, P.O. Box 1481, Rome, Georgia 30162.
