Diane Marie Good Soos, age 56, of Ocoee, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at a hospice residence in Lafayette, GA. The daughter of the late George Good and Margaret Rainey Good Oxios, she was born in Queens, NY, and spent several years in Florida before moving to Polk County in 1990. She was an avid Polk County Football fan and served as a Little League softball coach. She had a wonderful outgoing personality and never met a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her step-father, John Oxios.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Randy Soos of Ocoee; children, Jared Soos and wife Stephanie of Old Fort, Erin Soos and fiance Dunstin King of Murfreesboro, Ashley Thompson and husband Jamie of Benton, and Joshua Soos of Ocooe; grandchildren, Hayden and Hunter Soos of Old Fort; brothers, George Good of Hollywood , FL and Wayne Good and wife Mary of Davie FL; half-brothers, Cliff Oxios of Cooper City , Fl, and Ernest Oxios of Hollywood, FL; step-brothers, John and Mark Oxios both of New York City, and step-sister, Kelly Sauls of Newport News, VA. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and close friends also survive.
Service:
A Celebration of Dianes Life will be held at 7p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 , at Welcome Valley Baptist Church, 867 Welcome Valley Rd in Benton, with Pastor Chad Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
