Robert Michael "Mike" Wyllie, 57, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his residence. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School and a professional photographer for over 30 years. A life-long resident of Cleveland, he took Pride in having been a part of " The Wolfpack", one of the most notorious YMCA football teams to ever come out of Cleveland in the early 70's, coached by Eddie Cartwright. Mike loved to meet new people and make a friend of a stranger, truth is, he never really did meet a stranger. Living like that can put you in some pretty cool places, with some pretty cool people. For example, sitting in on the drums with Buddy Guy at the drop of a hat one night in Kansas City, MO. With Mike's personality run-ins like that weren't at all uncommon. Perhaps, that is what made him so good at the profession he chose, making people you hardly even know smile. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jordan and Ruth Wise Wyllie and brother, James Jordan Wyllie. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Susan Denise Murphy Wyllie; two children he took so much pride in, Christopher Ryan Wyllie and wife, Leah and Lauren Micaela Wyllie Lemons and husband, Vince, all of Cleveland; four cherished grandchildren, Trevor Dregan Wyllie and "one on the way", Braxton Blake Lemons and Brooklyn Micaela Lemons; aunt and uncle, James and Ressie "Rusty" Wise. At a young age Mike showed us his "unshakeable" faith in God. There is no doubt he has gone home to be with the Lord. In times like this his family and friends can take comfort remembering all the times he spoke about his faith in God and the importance of keeping Him first. "God, don't make no junk" he would say. He was loved by his family and they will miss him and will see him again someday. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the chapel of Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home with the Reverend Tony Spencer officiating.
