T. Blair Lillard, age 79, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, in a Chattanooga Healthcare facility. He was a retired educator and had worked for the Bradley County and Polk County School Systems. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Methodist faith having grown up at Benton United Methodist Church and when he moved to Cleveland he joined Broad Street United Methodist Church and then later attended First United Methodist Church. He was an historian and genealogist. He was also a Civil War re-enactor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by one son, Thomas B. "Buddy" Lillard and his fiancé, Debbie Ingram of Cleveland, TN; one grandson, Thomas B. "Trey" Lillard. Numerous cousins also survive. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Benton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Bracken, Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. There will military honors. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Mark S. Grissom Funeral Director.
