Paul Eugene Gentry, 74, of Cleveland passed away after a short illness, Thursday, November 6, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He retired from Duracell after 20 years of service and previously worked as a heavy machine operator in Chicago, IL. He loved to spoil his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pauline Gentry and son, Scott Stevenson. He is survived by wife of 40 years, Jennifer Gentry; son, Paul (Miriam) Kraay, daughters, Jackie Bivens, Denise Stevenson, and Janice Ecker; sisters, Shirley (Vic) Palazzo, Reba (Ed) Gentry, and Emma Gentry; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, and cousins also survive. He also had two beloved, pound puppies, Dusty and Bella. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 in the chapel of Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Grissom officiating. His nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
