Josephine Seaton Day, 91, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospice facility. She was the wife of the late, Conrad Day and the mother of the late, Connie Day. She was one of the first woman police traffic directors and Girl Scout leaders at Arnold School. Jo was a member at Broad Street United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher in the Junior Department. She was active in her church and her community as long as she was able. Jo was a member of the museum and loved history. She played basketball at Bradley Central High School and was named to the Bradley Old Timers Hall Of Fame and she could be found on the golf course through the years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Conrad Day and daughter, Connie Day as well as her parents, D.D. and Cora Ball Seaton; siblings, A.D. Seaton and wife, Toleda Waller Seaton and Dortha Seaton Green; niece, Brenda Green Clark. She is survived by her nephew, Jack "Buster" Green of Cleveland; niece, Wanda Brown of North Carolina and sister-in-law, Fatina Murray; also survived by her very close friends, Peggy Johnson, Billy and JoAnn Bledsoe, Virginia Matheny and Jeannie Sawyer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Broad Street United Methodist Church with the Reverend Randy Martin and the Reverend Skip White officiating. Entombment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 on Friday at the church prior to the service.
