Judy Kay Rector Pierce

November 29, 1950 — January 9, 2015

Judy Kay Rector Pierce, age 64, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Jan 9, 2015 at Sky Ridge Medical Center. Born in Bradley County, she had lived in Atlanta for twenty-five years before moving back to Cleveland fifteen years ago. She was an active member of Waterville Baptist Church and enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Rector, and a son, Donald Pierce, Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Don Pierce of Cleveland; children, Howard Brooks Pierce and fiancée Christina Westbury of Cleveland, and Diana Caldwell of Atlanta; mother, Jewell Childs Everett; grandson Donnie Caldwell of Atlanta; granddaughter, Kaysi Pierce of Johnson City; brothers, Larry B. Rector and wife Deana, William Rector and wife Donna, Richard Rector and wife Joan, and Kenneth "Pete" Rector and wife Brenda all of Cleveland. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 7p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30-7p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the Lupus Foundation (www.lupusfoundation.org) or to Waterville Baptist Church.
