Many of the things he crafted with his hands he gave to his family, who cherish them. His other interests included gardening, cattle raising, and tinkering in his shop. He had a vision and gift that could turn other people's junk into treasures. He had a rare gift in being able to fix most anything and will be remembered by many people for this, as they would often come to him seeking advice. They were amazed that he always had a solution to fix the problem and was jokingly referred to by his family as "MacGyver." He attended Unity Church of God when he was able and enjoyed listening to the service on the radio once his health failed. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He had a loving, giving heart and he never met a stranger. He never held a grudge and always told his kids that "love makes the world go round." Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren. Special friends include Jerry and Nancy Trotter, Andy and Loretta Miller, Don Geren, W.J.
