Ronald Lee Arthur

Ronald Arthur Sr.71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 14, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Chattanooga but spent most of his life in Bradley County. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Cleveland. During his life, he worked for the Cleveland City Police Department and after several years in construction, he worked for the Tennessee Meth Task Force before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William V. Arthur, Sr. and Betty Fricks Arthur. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters; Carol Ann Arthur and Connie Sue Hayes. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years; Debrah (Debbie) Murray Arthur; two sons, Ronald Arthur, Jr. and wife Lea. Heath Arthur and wife Lynn; one daughter, Kandice Allred and husband Chris; grandchildren, Stephanie Key, Tanner Arthur, Adam Arthur, Dalton Arthur, Scylar Allred, Dillon Arthur, Emily Arthur, and Abagail Arthur; great-grandchildren, Jazlene, JayDon, And Jaylene Key; brothers and sisters, Wayne Arthur, Gail Wilson. Nancy Davis, Patricia Christopher, Darlene Potts, William V. "Bo" Arthur, Jr. and wife Teresa, and Timothy Arthur and wife Karen, and a special mother-in-law, Tina Murray. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family memebers and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, from the Eastside Church of Christ with Minister Bill Maynard and Minister Jeff Archey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with special nephews serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the funeral home and again from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Friday at the church.
