Michael Mike' "Critter" Dale Crittenden, age 61, passed away Monday July 20, 2015 at his residence. He was a member at Grace Point Church. He was formerly employed with Bradley County Emergency Medical Services, Bradley County Sheriff's office and was a Volunteer with the Bradley County Rescue Service for many years. For over 38 years he worked with the Mounted Patrol. He was part of the Drug Task Force and also worked with the Chattanooga Police Department. He was a Volunteer for the Salvation Army and was also retired from M&M Mars. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed running his beagles. He loved to camp. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents; Fred Crittenden, Jr and Edna Young Crittenden, and in laws; William C. and Linda Garner. Mike helped care for Linda for the last years of her life. He is survived by his wife Deborah Garner Hicks Crittenden, of Cleveland; two daughters, Misty and Richard Jones of Long Island, NY, and Amanda and Joseph Mesa, of Savannah, GA; one son, Andrew and Rebecca Hicks, of Cleveland, TN; one grandson, Ayden Hicks; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Karen Crittenden, otherwise known as "Big Brother and Little Sissy", of Cleveland, TN; two special nieces, Alyson Hicks Bryant and Mikayla Wilcoxon. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears and Pastor John Eldridge officiating. Speakers will be Joel Rogers, Jim Welch of the Salvation Army, and Sheriff Eric Watson. Pallbearers will be members of the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, Brian Smith, Mike Dooley, Keith Edwards, Steve McCullum, Bob Hancock, Ralph Creel, Wayne White and Heath Arthur. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday July 23, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 12-2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
