Rena Mae Davis, age 79, resident of Georgetown, TN, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, in a Chattanooga health care facility. She was a member of the Elkmont Baptist Church. She was retired from Duracell Battery. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and she loved picking blackberries with her grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Thomas and Louise Noblett Collins. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Samuel C. Davis, three children, Randy Davis, Cindy Hyde and Greg Davis all of Georgetown, TN; three grandchildren, Angela Gibson, Cole Hyde and Jason Davis and 5 great grandchildren, Travis Davis, Bailey Davis, Chloe Davis, Dylan Gibson and Dru Gibson; two brothers, Jackie Collins, Cleveland and Johnny Collins and his wife, Patricia, Tullahoma, TN and sister, Jeanette Benefield and husband, Mac, Alvin, TX; two special friends, Faye Cooley and Dale Bradford; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Cole Hyde, Travis Davis, Jason Davis, Bailey Davis, Matt Dillion and Johnny Ledwell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements.
