William "Bill" Kenneth Casteel, Sr. 77, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at a local hospital. He retired from Arch Chemical. Bill volunteered as a bus driver at Bradley Healthcare & Rehab. He was an avid bowler and also pool player at the senior center. Bill had a black belt in Taekwondo. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Amanda Raulston Casteel; brothers, Stewart Edward Casteel and Jerry Wayman Casteel; and sister, Aliene Belk. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Casteel of Cleveland; three children, William Kenneth Casteel, Jr. and Nicole Barker, both of Cleveland and Heather Jett and husband, Tim of Loudon; seven grandchildren, Crystal McNabb, Nathan Casteel, Kaitlyn Kessler, Jasmine Barker, Zachery Barker, Ella Jett and Dane Jett; six great grandchildren, Evan McNabb, Madison McNabb, Reagan McNabb, Caleb and Corban Casteel and Brylee Scoggins; four sisters, Dorothy Craigo of McDonald, Geneva Moore of Georgetown, Mary Fowler of Cleveland and Carolyn Steelmon of Crandall, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Seaton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Zachery Barker, Nathan Casteel, Brian King, Shane King, Matthew McTaggart, Jody McNabb and Curtis Moore serving as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home.
