Clara Delores Davis

Ms. Clara Delores Davis, age 83, of Oneida and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at a local health care facility. A native of Newport, TN, she had spent the majority of her life in Bradley County. She enjoyed crocheting, working in the garden, and spending time with family and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; Cecil Lee Calfee, Sr. and Effie Sue Brady Calfee; daughter, Polly Sue Etheridge; grandsons, Jamie Lloyd and Zachary Etheridge; granddaughter; Candice Jones ;sisters, Thelma Gosser, Violet Swann, and Janet Turner; and brother, Cecil Lee Calfee, Jr. She is survived her daughters, Dorothy Burns of Old Fort, Donna Jones of Atlanta, Peggy Lloyd of Oneida , and Teresa Holloway and husband Jimmy of Crandall, GA; Six grandchildren; Tabetha Forgey, Lisa Snodgrass, Anna Blevins, Adam Lloyd, J.C. Holloway, Angel Etheridge: Six great grandchildren; Jerry Paul Harrison, Shayne Forgey, Bailey Snodgrass, Brooke Snodgrass, Justin Snodgrass, Alexis Lloyd, Landon Lloyd. Also several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 8:00 P.M. at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Collins officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the funeral home and proceed to Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Pallbearers will be Gary Young, Jerry Paul Harrison, Shayne Forgey, Adam Lloyd, Michael Woodward, Jimmy Holloway. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday.
