Betty Ann Carol Brakefield

Betty Ann Brakefield, age 67, passed away at her home, Saturday, January 9, 2016. A native of California she spent the past 17 years in North Georgia and most recently Bradley County. She was a member of The Dwelling Place Church International.  She was a women of faith that believed in the power of prayer, and prayed for her family, friends, and community.  She had a servant’s heart and faithfully served in her local church and volunteered regularly at Omega Center International.

She is survived by two daughters, Katie (Rodney) Nix of Benton, and Beth (Willie Lawrence) Barnett of Lakewood, CA; seven grandchildren; Lawrence Barnett, Kennia Barnett, Anthonee Barnett, Adreeahna  Barnett, Brianna Nix, Makhi Boyd, Sean Barnett; niece, Connie Goodman of CA. and several other extended family and friends.

 A celebration of the Life and Home Going of Betty will be held Friday, January 15, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at The Dwelling Place Church International with Pastor Jamie Tuttle officiating.

 Interment will be private.

 The family will receive friends Friday January 15, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dwelling Place Church International.

 Arrangements are being handled by Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home.
