Howard Lemon, 91, of Cleveland, passed away August 7, 2016, in a local healthcare facility. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Korean War where he received a Combat Infantry Badge and a Bronze Star. Howard was retired from Cleveland Milling Company where he worked as a chemist. He volunteered for 17 years in the Cleveland Police Public Service Unit. He loved hunting, fishing, playing bridge and dancing.
He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Harriet Lemon; children, Janis Lemon of Cleveland and Fred Lemon (Diane) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Walker Lemon and Kate Lemon.
A gathering of friends will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the parlor of Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.
