Earnestine Crisp

Earnestine Crisp, age 95, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home. She loved her children, enjoyed gardening, canning and giving away the fruits of her labors. She was of the Baptist Faith and worked at Hardwick Woolen Mills, Jackson Manufacturing and Maples Chair as a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virdon Crisp; parents, Charlie and Bessie (Hair) Bledsoe; and brother, Jay L. Bledsoe.

She is survived by her 3 children; Verdia Jo Champion and husband, Omer of Thornton, Ky., Delmer Crisp and wife, Jane of Calhoun, TN, and Charlie Crisp and wife, Peggy of Cleveland, TN. Grandchildren; Tammy Stevens, Melody Webb, Wendy Schifflin, Missy Baker, Brian Crisp, Sharon Morrow, and Omer (Champ) Champion, II.  She is also survived by a multitude of great and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5 -8 pm at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10 am in the chapel of the funeral home.

Interment will be at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers are: Josh Bird, Champ Champion, Arron Dotson, Christian Crisp, Philip Schifflin, Jonathan Crisp, Andrew Schifflin, and Jason Hatcher.
