Virginia “Ginny” Marie Brinkley, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at her home in Old Fort, TN.
Everyone knew and loved Ginny from her 17 years of dedicated employment at Fazoli’s Restaurant on North Lee Highway.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, August and Virginia Calling and her step son, Joshua Brinkley.
She is survived by her husband, Kelvin Brinkley, children and their spouses, Rolando and Cynthia Scapellato, of Etowah and Carla and Greg Wilson, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ashly Scapellato, Amber Scapellato, Christopher Lagase, Hailey Lagase and Jonathan Lagase; siblings, Augie (Marion) Calling, Robert (Betty) Calling, Reggie (Judy) Calling, Patricia (Steve) Frankel, Christopher (Kathy) Calling, Paula (George) Norton; mother-in-law, Nancy Westmoreland; special nephew, Kurt Brinkley; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Blanchette officiating.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Ginny’s name to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416 or Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 2990 S. Sepulveda Blvd. Suite 300C, Los Angeles, CA 90064.
