Wanda Ruth Taylor Watson, 86, of Cleveland passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Piney Flats, TN. She worked at Magic Chef for 10 years and retired from Duracell after 43 years of service. Wanda was a longtime member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church and loved her church and church family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Watson; parents, James and Lucille Miller Taylor; and brother, Jimmy Lynn Taylor.
Survivors include her children, Trecia Watson of Cleveland; Dennis (Susan) Watson of Bessemer, AL, Donna (Rick) Newberry of Piney Flats, TN,; Kimberly (Charles) Duncan of Polk County, TN and Chris (Holly) Watson of Cleveland; grandchildren, Shannon Haney, Mark Watson, Mitchell Parker, Misty Andrews, Rodney Watson, Andrew Creasman, Tyler Watson, Ken Murphy, Eric Parker and Austin Creasman; great grandchildren, Amber, Saul, Christian, Adam, Adelie, Cole, Amanda, Dustin, Ariana, Blake, Cody, Kaylie and Aubrey; great great grandchildren, Alishia, Caden, F.J.; Decklan and Ryker; brother, Charles (Sue) Franklin Taylor of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Esther Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Cleveland the Reverend Ray Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
