Dorothy Ellen Jenkins

Dorothy Ellen “Dot” Jenkins, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at a local health care facility. 

She was born January 7, 1931 to the late James and Ellen Ray.  Dot was a member of the East Side Church of Christ. She was retired from Duracell, Inc. after 18 years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifton Ray, Claude Ray, and infant brother Charles; sisters, Marjorie Sutton, Ann White, Ladonna Smurawa, Mary Jane Ray, Daisy Morse; and grandson, Bradley Zanoska.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony Zanoska, Bradley Zanoska, Carl (Elly) Zanoska; grandchildren, Anthony Zanoska II, and special grandson and caregiver Brian Zanoska; great-grandchildren, Caleb Zanoska, Lauren Zanoska, Daysia Zanoska, and Blaine Zanoska.  Many nieces and nephews and special nieces Phyllis Luering, Kathy Sutton, Darla Ward and Nephew Jimmy Ray, as well as her lifelong best friend Pat Owens also survive. 

The funeral will be Monday, April 9, 2018, at 6 p.m. at the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home.  Ministers Jeff Archey and Bill Maynard will conduct the service.  A private family interment will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00–6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home prior to the service.
