Franklin “Frank” Earl Cole, age 68, of Harrison passed away at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga on Monday, June 10, 2018. He was born in South Carolina and has spent the majority of his life in East Tennessee. Frank is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam with the 69th Armor. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan & Freda Cole; a son Travis Jeffrey Cole; and a brother, Stephen Cole.
Frank is survived by his wife of 42 years, Fran Cole of Harrison; and son James (Jeanette) Cole of Harrison; two grandchildren, Zach Hughes of Ooltewah, and Shayna Cole of Cleveland; one brother, Benny Cole of Midland City, AL; with several nieces, nephews, and extended family also surviving.
A Celebration of Life and Home Going will be conducted on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Rev. Wilson Kilgore and Rev. Benny Cole officiating. Pallbearers will be the Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors.
