Grace Taylor

Grace Aretta Taylor, age 86 of Birchwood, passed away on Thursday morning, July 12, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. Born on October 2, 1930 in Maplewood, Ohio to the Late Frank Williams and Clatie Slatton Stephens, she had lived a majority of her life in the Chattanooga area.  Grace loved cooking was a dedicated member of Hilcrest Baptist Church in Ooltewah, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Taylor; son Richard Taylor; grandchildren, Ricky Taylor and Nikki Taylor; sister, Alice Goldsmith; and brothers, Marvin Stephens. Chester Stephens, and Howard Taylor.

Grace is survived by her son,  David( Nancy) Taylor of Birchwood, Bill(Wilani) Taylor of Cherokee, NC, Harry (Glenda) Taylor of Cleveland, and Frank (Brenda)Taylor of Henagar, AL; sisters, Mildred(Sock) Payne of Lookout Mountain, GA, Carol Stephens of Rossville, GA; and Nellie ( Denny) Burr of Cheyboygan, MI. Fourteen grandchildren, twenty –five great-grandchildren, eight great-great- grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Grace Taylor will be conducted at 4p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother James Langston officiating.

Family and friends wil meet on Monday, July 16, 2018  at 10.a.m at the funeral Home and proceed to Flint Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery for the 11a.m. committal service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4p.m. on Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
