Mack Johnson, age 77 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday evening, October 22, 2018, at his home. Born on February 1, 1941 in McMinn County, he lived a majority of his life in Cleveland and was a member of East Cleveland Baptist Church. Mack loved cars and was a well-known auto body man who would help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Omie and Neva Irene Fain Johnson; siblings, Charlie Johnson, John Johnson, Mary Lee Hawtin, Pat Albritton, Bobbie Spence, and Lillie Mae Malone.
Mack is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Carolyn Green Johnson; daughters, Phyllis Bates (Paul) Winters of Dallas, Georgia and Tina Kaye (Wes) Inman of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brandon Winters, Aaron Winters, Laney Inman, and Levi Inman; sisters, Henrietta (Donnie) Bandy of Cleveland, Bess (J.R.) Frazier of Charleston; and brothers, Billy (Carolyn) Johnson, Herman(Mary Johnson , and June Bug (Ann) Johnson all of Cleveland. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
